TitleCopy probate of Samuel Coupe, late of Pinxton but now of Alfreton, yeoman; to his son John Coupe all his messuage, farm and lands at Pinxton with all rents and arrears of rent, charged with the payment of £600 bequeathed to his daughter Elizabeth, wife of George Topham; to his house keeper, Mary Ann Lovett, if she shall reside with him at the time of his death, £20; to Elizabeth also, a messuage, malt office and lands at Kirkby in Ashfield (Nottinghamshire) for life and then to Harriett Holmes her daughter by a previous marriage; to his daughter Ann and her husband William Watson of Mansfield, a messuage and lands at South Normanton, for their lives and then to be divided among their children as tenants in common; to his friend William Wilson of South Normanton, farmer, all the coal mines, veins, beds and delphs of coal, clay or stone beneath fields at Pinxton called Hall Moor Meadow, Near Hall Moor Meadow and the Allotment on the Range, which minerals were reserved to him under and exchange of lands with D'Ewes Coke, upon trust to sell and pay the proceeds to Elizabeth Topham and Ann Watson who are also to have the residue of his household goods and other personal estate, in equal shares10 Oct 1838
