Description
To the left rear, a uniformed figure with two chevrons of rank mounted on a standing horse: in the foreground: a side view of a standing horse: partly visible beyond the horse is a red-faced alarmed-looking man with one arm across the saddle and the other round the horse's neck; one of the man's legs is horizontal at the horse's rear and the other off the ground below the body of the horse: the man's cap is in the air above his head.
