This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
A Map of Mr Ayscough's Farm lying at Snelston near Ashbourne in Derbyshire by Wm Mycock. [no date ?early 18c] Surveyor:William Mycock. Scale: of 24 [chains 1:3400]. Size: 49 x 38 cm. Materials: ink on watermarked paper, crown and Prince of Wales feathers. Centred on: ?SK1542 Notes: compass rose, north at top. Shows fields with names, house and barn in elevation, roads: separate parcels labelled A and Field Land: reference table lists field names with numbers of trees, total 193 trees: endorsed 'Mr.Ayscough's Farm at Snelstone'.Location:DRO, D157M/T853
