Attested copy marriage settlement between Tomas Coke of Lincoln's Inn, London, esq, Dorothy Goodwin of Derby and her daughter Matilda Goodwin of Derby, William Hope of Derby, doctor of physic, and William Turner of Derby, gent, and John Charlton of Breaston, gent and John Hope of Derby, gent, by which, in consideration of a marriage to be solemnized between Thomas Coke and Matilda Goodwin and of £200 to Coke, Dorothy Goodwin and Matilda Goodwin have conveyed to Hope and Turner messuages and lands in the liberty of Yeaveley in the parish of Shirley, messuages in Derby commonly called the Great College, the Little College and the White Horse Inn, a piece of ground next to the River Derwent in Derby containing by estimation 5 acres commonly called Ireland Orchard, a messuage at Hilton, a messuage in Ockbrook, a messuage in Sutton, a messuage in Sheen, co Stafford, other lands and tenements in Hilton, Ockbrook, Sutton and Sheen, 28 Feb 1735/6
