Assignment of a mortgage for 500 years by Thomas Whitehurst of Burton upon Trent, farmer (son of John Whitehurst, formerly of Yeaveley, yeoman, deceased) John Whitehurst of Coton in the Elms, farmer (eldest son of the said John Whitehurst, deceased) to William Newton of Burton upon Trent, surgeon, of several parcels of land in Snelston, known as the Nether Croft, the Pickfork Pingle, the Upper Croft, the Great Intake, the Cross Intake, the Nether Long Intake and the Further Long Intake, with a mortgage to secure £500 of a parcel of field lying in Timberil Field containing by estimation about two acres in Snelston, with a quitclaim by Thomas Whitehurst to all or any of the real or personal estates of John Whitehurst, 5 April 1788
