Administrative History | The Act for supplying with water the inhabitants of Clay Cross was enacted in in July 1856. Henry Greatorex (born 1822, Morton) served as Secretary and Manager probably until the waterworks were taken over by the new Clay Cross Urban District Council in 1894. |
