| Administrative History | Kirk Hallam is one of the ancient parishes in the county, comprising the townships of Kirk Hallam and Mapperley. Mapperley had its own registers from 1852 and became a separate ecclesiastical parish in 1870 (see D2517). By an Order in Council 1919, Little Hallam was taken from Ilkeston and annexed to Kirk Hallam. |
