Description... formerly occupied by John Burgin, grandfather of Alpheus Burgin, with Yard and Homestead 5 acres, close called the Allies 14 acres, 20 beast pastures in Shardlow common pasture 2 pieces of meadow in Smiths meadow and several parcels of land in the open arable fields namely in the West Field, 14 lands in the flat on the east side of the balk and 3 lands butting on Pill William Close; in the Ware Field, 1 land on Crook Head Shutt, 2 double lands on the same furlong, 1 land butting on the Wheat Close, 1 double land and two lands more on the same furlong, 3 lands on the same furlong butting on the Over Close, one land on the same furlong butting on the Old mill, two lands on the furlong next to Piggin Flatt and one land on the Gravelley Shutt; in the Trent Field, 11 lands lying on Holbridge Holme Strutt, one further land on the same furlong, 2 lands lying next to the garden of Leonard Fosbrooke approximately 21 acres of arable land in all, 7 acres in each field
