Mortgage by demise for 500 years by Richard Dakeyne the Elder of Chesterfield, yeo., to Jonathan Lee of Chesterfield, gent., for £140 at 5% of three acres of land in Newbold adjoining the Chesterfield-Brampton road: a close of three roods purchased from Thomas Webster tanner, of Chesterfield, deceased; the little Chappie Close bought from John Allwood, deceased (now combined with the first close as Malthouse Close or the Old Brick Yards: buildings at the North end of the close including a dwelling house, pothouse and kiln; Stone Gravells Close (2 ac) purchased from Godfrey Homesfield and John Hind (lower part of deed missing) 19 Aug.
