Title
Letter from Charles Tucker, Clerk to Commissioners for Charities, 13 Great George Street, Westminster, 25 November 1926, to Rev Thomas Gell of Boylestone. A reply to Gell's letter of 17 November stating that they had recently received a letter from E. H. Lushington Esq., concerning Gisbourne's charity and that when their information respecting the charity is complete they will write to Rev Mr Jones of Church Broughton. The letter also questions whether the vicarage of Church Broughton is endowed with great tithes because the charity consists of a fee farm rent payable out of the rectory. The poor of Willington are entitled under the charity to £5 per annum subject to a deduction of 15s for land tax. Probable new trustees must be made. Additional note from Gell to Mr Jones requesting reply respecting endowment of living and the loan of the Church Broughton enclosure act (M313 vol 15).
