This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:

Nether Hubbadale Mine. Drawn by George Heyward Dec. 31st 1768. Surveyor: George Heyward. Scale: of 30 yards [1:360]. Size: 38 x 48 cm. Materials: ink on paper. Centred on: SK142695 Notes: compass indicator, north at top. Mining plan with explanation for eight references: 'Prickt lines indicate Bounder'. Location:DRO, D1154G/LP17
