This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
A Plan of Crooked Knrel [sic] Vein and Blue cap self Cross Door. August the 2nd, 1753. Scale: 8 yards to the Inch [1:300]. Size: 32 x 42 cm. Materials: ink on paper. Centred on: SK135835 Notes: compass rose. Simple sketch of mining veins, noting 'taker' and 'founder' meers: Explanation to letter references includes mention of Oden Old Vein. Location: DRO, D1154 G/LP1
