Ilkeston: Hallam Fields Council Schools

Description
These schools were a Mixed and Infants school, originally known as the Stanton Iron Works school, built in 1879 and 1898. Their running was taken over by the County Council in 1903. The schools were closed in 1939 for the duration of the war and their formal closure was announced in 1946, when the buildings were returned to the Stanton Ironworks Co.
