Description | The former Heanor Council schools were split into two groups in 1949. Group 1, the Langley Mill group, consisted of Langley Mill Girls, Aldercar Infants and Langley Girls and Infants; group 2, the Heanor group consisted of Loscoe Road Boys, Girls and Infants, Marlpool Boys and Infants and Lockton Ave. The Langley school was taken over by the Council in September 1939.
