Title
Agreement between Welbeck Abbey and Alan son of Geoffrey Russel of Dukemanton. Alan gives to the abbey, in the name of tithes of hay, all crops, land and meadow which he has at Benth in Ducmanton, lying between the boundary of Sutton and the land of Henry son of William in consideration of which Alan, his heirs and their tenants are to be quit for ever of all tithes of hay due to the church of St Peter, Dukmanton. Alan gives to the abbey all the land which the abbey holds, lying between the Sutton boundary and Ryecroft and all their arable between the said boundary and the land of Ralf son of Lenieth, in consideration of which he, his heirs and their tenants are quit of sheriff's aid. Witnesses: Richard the chaplain, vicar of Duckmanton, Robert de Winerton, Hugh son of Alan etc
