Description
Regarding the dispute between herself and William de Folkyngham, Abbot of Beauchief, over the boundaries of pasture on the moor of Essover [Ashover] which the abbey had held time out of mind, for the beasts of their grange of Harewod - grant of common pasture within the following bounds: from Serlforkes by Herewardstrete [Hereward Street] to the south as far as the road from Derley [Darley] to Scheterley [Shooterslea], thence ascending to Paystonhirst [Peasunhurst] as far as Wilisodd, thence ascending to Alewoldsettes, thence as far as the boundary of Walton and following the boundary to Astwode, with free entry and exit, with quitclaim of all her title etc to 'eschap' [fine upon strayed animals] on all beasts belonging to Harewode. Witnesses: Lord William de Steynesby,Walter de Repighale, William de Foliambe, Robert le Graunt, John de Brimington, Roger le Bret, Hugh de Tuxforth, Hugh de Linakre, Peter de Bernis.
