Title | Gift by Robert Sauvag' to Newstead Abbey, of 10a in Croswod, for the soul of Thomas his son, and of the remainder of the wood, viz from the way to the cross, from Hukenh' [Hucknall] to Mamber-desyke in length, and in width, in the upper part, from the way below his park at Steynisbi to Brodestrod and in the next part, from the hedge to the south, which surrounds Brodestrod and the round meadow to the aforesaid. Mamberdesyke, and descending to the hedge of Riecroft, and along the said hedge to the way from his meadow, and also all the wood between the ploughland called the Countess's ploughland and the Brodestord and thence by the bank descending to the hay of Brodestrod as far as the Countess's ploughland, for which the abbey has given him all the woods between Brodestrod and Estwyde and has quitclaimed to him all their title to the wood of Estwyde, his enclosure of Ruthorne and his park of Steynesbi, except tithes payable to the church of Hukenh'.
