Title | 'Abbreviation of Charters concerning lands in Wynefeld and Dukmanton. ' Roger Deyncourt gave Welbeck Abbey, for the maintenance of three canons, all his land and meadow in Wynefeld, with common pasture in Lochagh [Locko] and all his meadow in Wynefeld (except the advowson of the church and the land pertaining to the bovate of Parkhouses) and all his wood called Lanedigreve, his mill with the whole pond called Elnefordam and the new dam on both sides of the stream below Lengreve, with the homage and service of William Deyncourt, his brother, and of all other his free tenants and all his villeins with their families and chattels - confirmation and quitclaim byJohn Deyncourt, rector of Winefield, of the land etc granted by his brother, Roger Deyncourt - survey of the ploughland held by William Deyncourt, called Basset - John Deyncourt, rector of Winefeld, gave 3 bovates in Morton, subject to an annual rent of 2s and 1lb, pepper - Roger Deyncourt, son of Lord John Deyncourt, holds of Welbeck Abbey, all the land of Alwiwod and 1 bovate in Wynefeld by service of 2d p. a. and pays nothing - he also holds 1 bovate in Wynefeld which his father acquired and 18a land and wood held by foreign service and suit of court - the abbey's land in Wynefeld renders 111/2 d p. a. to the land of Chester[field] - John, rector of Wynefeld, gave the overflow of the water of Elnefordam, towards the monks' land of Gyldeford [Gil(der)ford, Pilsley, p. N Wingfield] - the abbot granted to Roger Deyncourt that the dam would not be heightened without his consent, above the height it was in 1246 - William del Hull of Topeton [Tupton] gave 1a in Topeton - the said William quitclaimed 1a lying near the abbey's toft in Wynefeld - John Deyncourt gave a rent of 2d which he had of William del Hul - the said John gave all the land in the fields of Wynefeld and Topeton which he had of Alice Sywyn - Alice Sywyn gave John Deyncourt, rector of Wynfeld, all her land in the fields of Wynefeld and Topeton and the toft and croft that were Roger Gaveloc's, 2a by Lenedigreve and 1a 3p in the fields of Topeton. |

son of Walter of 1 toft and 2p land - charter of R Purdom of 6 bovates - charter of Geoffrey son of Simon of 2 bovates, 3a land and a 15th part of a mill - charter of Matilda, daughter of Henry, of a 4th. part of a mill, Southcroft and the meadow of Holme - quitclaim by Martin de Hintrushall of Presteredding - quitclaim by Robert son of Arnold and Hawise daughter of Ralf of land late of Richard Perdon - charter of Alan de Brimington, Peter de Pecco [Peak] and son of Geoffrey son of Hugh of a mill - charter of John Butax of 1/2 a in Dugmanton- charter of Richard son of Lawrence of a meadow and another meadow called Bottes - charter of Hugh son of Alan of 6 bovates - charter of Mathew of 2 bovates, a toft and croft - charter of Richard Franceys of a bovate - charter of Hugh de Endall of 2 bovates - charter of Richard de Langesdon of his lands - charter of Hugh son of Hugh of many things - charter of Richard son of Hawise of 1a land - chirograph between the abbey and Laurence son of Richard of Duckmanton of the exchange of 11/2 a in Dukmanton - gift by Emma de Capella [Capel] of Dukmanton of a moiety of a messuage and 2 bovates in Dukmanton - John de Scutevill confirmed the said gift - Henry son of Roger de Duk' holds of the abbey 3 bovates in Dukmanton by homage and foreign service - the said Henry has of the gift of Emma de Capella [Capel], 2 bovates and a moiety of a messuage in Dugmanton - the said Henry has of the gift of Robert son of Adam, 1 bovate and a plot of meadow - Hugh son of Hugh de Dukmanton quitclaimed 6 bovates and other land in Dukmanton, saving 16d rent and foreign service - the abbey gave various lands in Dukmanton to the said Hugh - quitclaim by the said Hugh of what he was wont to receive from the mill at Dukmanton - the said Hugh granted freedom from suit of court except once a year - Alan de Brimington, a free tenant of the abbey, and the rest of the freemen of Dukmanton granted to the abbey, in the name of tithes of hay, all their land and meadow in 5p land and meadow at a place called Douth, between the boundary of Sutton and the land of Henry son of William - the said men gave to the abbey all their land between the boundary of Sutton and the ploughland called Riecroft and all the arable land to the east between the said boundary and the land of Ralf Lenemech, for which the abbey released to them sheriff's aid - the abbey gave to Roger de Hintrushaill, 1 bovate with toft and croft, which Thomas son of Henry once held, at a rent of 2s p. a. - release by Laurence de Dukmanton, of a water mill at Dukmanton, with the ponds etc. , saving free milling for himself - Henry son of Roger de Dukmanton pays 18s 31/2 d. for his land in Dukmanton, of which they owe him 16d. and he pays each year 15s. 1/2 d - Robert son of Doric' de Dukmanton gave 2 bovates and a toft in Dukmanton to the Templars - Guy de Forest' , Master of the Temple in England gave, in 1292, a rent of 12d from 2 bovates in Dukmanton which Robert son of Henry and Thomas his brother hold. |
