(a) from Grand Junction Railway at Barthomley to Midland Railway Birmingham - Derby line at Normanton, via Butt Lane, Tunstall, Burslem, Stoke, Draycott in the Moors, Uttoxeter, Marchington, Scropton, Hoon, Marston on Dove, and Etwall.
(b) branch from Marston on Dove to Midland Railway at Burton.
(c) branch from Stoke to Grand Junction Railway at Norton Bridge.
