Sawley and Long Eaton were part of the Derby Division but had separate registers from 1889. A separate division was created in 1954 (see D2294). In 1968, the areas added to the borough of Derby were also added to the Borough Petty Sessions. In April 1974, the rest of the division was amalgamated with Appletree to form the Derby County and Appletree division. This survived until the formation of the present courts in 1978. |
