Plan and elevation of part of Mills Close Lead Mine at Stanton in Peak

Description
Plan showing area to the west of the River Derwent, the sites of Lees Shaft and ventilating shaft, workings, ownership of minerals of the Duke of Rutland and Mrs McCreagh Thornhill, and the places Hillcarr Farm, Hillcarr Wood, Beehill Farm, Stanton Woodhouse and Holly Wood. Elevation shows the Lees Shaft and the ventliating shaft with working down to 70 fathoms level. Scale 2 chains to 1 inch. No surveyor is named. The plan is undated, but the Stanton estate would have belonged to Mrs Eva McCreagh Thornhill after the death of her husband Major Michael McCreagh Thornhill on 11 Oct 1902; she did not die until Feb 1941.
