Description
Indexed by initial surname alphabetically. Columns only used for name of workman, check number, date started and date left; date of birth very occasionally recorded. Start dates not entered at first, only from May 1925 up to Dec 1928; many leaving dates unreadable, the earliest being for Apr 1924. There are references to workmen who transferred to Hartington Colliery. Volume badly damaged by water, particularly along side edges. Volume has been rebound, with the original binding kept in separate packaging.
