Double pages divided into sections (1) on purchase, with columns for date, from whom purchased, number of horses purchased, price per horse, and total price: (2) information on individual horses bought, with columns for date sent down the pit, pit (Woodside, Kilburn, Coppice or Waterloo), surface, name, height in hands, age, and cost of purchase; (3) information on ponies sold, destroyed, etc, with columns for date, pit, name, particulars, age, and value: (4) yearly valuations, etc, of stock, broken down into heights over and under 13 hands and age bands, with columns for number and amount of money [valuation].
