History
Strines Printing Company, later Strines Textiles, based at Strines near new Mills, produced dyed and printed fabric since the late eighteenth century. In 1999 it became part of the Leeds Group plc. The fabrics were intended for nightwear, underwear, workwear, fashion clothes, camouflage, furnishings, children's rag books and novelty items. Customers included Liberty and Osman Fabrics.
