History
Lea Primary School was erected in 1859 as a mixed public elementary school with a separate Infants department. From 1888 it was administered by Lea, Holloway and Dethick School Board, subsequently becoming a Council school in 1903. The Infants and Junior departments were amalgamated to form a single primary school in 1937.
