History
First admissions on 20 March 1981; in 1995 using Hasland Resource Centre facilities for under-8s. The county council describe the service as providing a range of services to support disabled children, young people and their families who live in north east Derbyshire, for children aged between 10 to 18
Units: No units. There are three buildings on the site, Spire Lodge is all in one building. Within Spire Lodge, there is a high dependency area and a more independent area.
Clientele: Short break and shared care for disabled children and young people age 10-18 years who have severe learning difficulties and may have additional physical and sensory impairments.
As at March 1997 there were 12 short-term places
