| Administrative History | In October 1994, Derbyshire County Council took out a lease on a building on Jubilee Street in New Mills (see DCC/PR/CTL/685), which became known as the Jubilee Centre or as Jubilee Day Services. This became a joint provider of both health and social day services, managed by the NHS primary care trust and the county council. It was involved in multi-agency projects including an Early Dementia Programme and Alzheimer's Cafe. The centre celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2004 by completion of a walled garden on the site, dveloped with help of staff and clients. In 2024, Derbyshire County Council confirmed its plans to close the Jubilee Centre, among other sites. |
