Description
Derbyshire Record Office collaborated with Derbyshire Libraries in commemoration of the 2007 bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade. Outreach events included an exhibition at Chesterfield Library, a documentary history workshop at the record office for participants in a project led by Derby-based campaign group SOS Immigration, and the delivery at the University of London of a lecture on the record office's wealth of historical sources relating to slavery.
