| Appraisal | The list for the Catton collection at Derby Local Studies Library (now held at Derbyshire Record Office under D3155) has been destroyed as the with a the exception of a few tens of pages which were re-typed the original survey serves as the catalogue today (the hard copy in the search room being a photocopy of the original list). |
| Related Material | Originally stored with these lists were copies of several Historical Manuscript Commission (HMC) reports relating to Derbyshire collections held in private hands. The following HMC reports were transferred to the Local Studies collection;-
