Description
The deed refers to an agreement between Burdet and Allestrey in which Allestrey mortgaged lands in Litchurch and Markeaton to Burdet for £900 and payment of £100 annuity to Burdet for life 6 Jun 1674. The case claims that Allestrey stopped payments in 1691and Burdet discovered that Parker held some of the mortgaged lands on another mortgage. Burdet applied to the Court of Chancery and the case was found in his favour with Allestrey to pay £345 19s 7 1/2d [£345.94] in arrears and costs 24 Nov 1696. The Court was informed that Allestrey had absconded from his last known home in Walton on Trent 17 Jun 1697 and Burdet was awarded the mortgaged lands 27 Nov 1697.
