Description	Contemporary copy of articles of enquiry made by John Markeham, knight, William Cowper, Nicholas Powtrell esqs. and John Wysoman, gent., the king's commissioners in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire for surveying chantries, hospitals, colleges, free chapels, fraternities, brotherhoods, guilds and salaries of stipendiary priests. With the answers of the commissioners re the chantry of St John the Baptist in Marston upon Dove, founded by John Agard. A note signed by William Barlow states that the copy was made from the original in the Augmentations Office. 9 Feb, 37 Henry VIII
