Souvenir scroll containing verses 1-14 of the Gospel of St John

Description
This small scroll contains the first fourteen verses of the Gospel of St John written in Latin. It has been illuminated and decorated with flowers made from paper or fabric and glued on. The rollers have been covered with strips of gold tinted wire, wrapped with green and yellow ribbon. This scroll is likely to have been a souvenir collected perhaps by Lady Franklin on her travels.
