Alfred Millington Auden (1866-1944) of Church Broughton, vicar

Auden was born in Horninglow, Staffordshire, where his father was the incumbent. He died in Norfolk, aged 78. He was the uncle of Wystan Hugh Auden, poet (Wystan being the son of Alfred's brother George Augustus Auden, a noted physican, school medical officer and later Professor of Public Health). These records were donated to Derbyshire Record Office by a member of the public in April, 2023. |
