D8035/1/1
Title
Cox of Twyford: blacksmith's day book, principally 1895-1905, with some earlier/later entries.
Date
1840-1914
Description
The front cover bears the name of Cox, Twyford. A title, "Farming Account Day Book", has been crossed out.
3 entries dating from Jan to May 1840 can be found on the inside cover, recording cash received from Mr Gill. Some pages appear to have been cut from the front and the back of the volume. The first remaining page records monies received from Mr Tomlinson in Jan 1895 and the last of the customer entries date from towards the end of 1905. The final pages record "small work" in entries which are not grouped together by customer and include entries up to 1914. The inside back cover contains a recipe for "sheep waters".
