Title
Junction Arts youth work and schools file: Creative Clusters Programme, 2001-2005
Date
2006
Description
Creative Clusters was an arts in education programme run by Junction Arts in the District of Bolsover. It aimed to promote active and sustainable partnerships with schools and the local community, involving training and skill-sharing tailored to address local issues. Junction Arts' procedures encouraged a consistent approach to evaluation and reporting.
The programme was delivered in three distinct ways:
1. Creswell Creative Cluster, centred on the infant/nursery school and junior school.
2. Shirebrook Youth Connect, centred on Shirebrook School, financially supported by East Midlands Arts lottery programme, Derbyshire County Council Treasure Chest and the Resolving Differences programme.
3. Rural Artists in Residence (RARe), providing artists in residence in specific communites or school hub clusters.
This file contains management records 2001-2002 (e.g. Creative Clusters Steering Group agendas, Elmton and Creswell Village Forum agendas and minutes), budgeting information, excerpts from the programme's business plan May 2002, poster for the Creswell Celebrates exhibition of 2002, forms recording the experiences of artists and participants, and a photocopy of the final report on Creative Clusters, produced by Maggie Braley (36 pages, plus appendices), illustrated by photographs of activities.
