Description
Project based at Blackbridge Travellers Site, Pleasley, involving arts workers working with young people to raise aspirations and improve basic skills, following a 2006-2007 pilot project. Connexions Derbyshire was contracted to provide 12 art sessions at Blackbridge Caravan Park, Pleasley, targeting 20 young people aged 13 to 16. Documents in the file include a project proposal, correspondence with artists, contextual statement, planning and meeting notes, budgeting information, copies of Powerpoint slides introducing Derby and Derbyshire Traveller Education Advice and Support Team, contract with Connexions Derbyshire Ltd., evaluation reports, description of methodology, and a detailed description of participants' development in the creation of their artwork. Also included are papers related to a proposed project at Temple Normanton, with Anthony Bek Primary School, to be funded by the charity Children in Need.
