Reciting deeds (above) of 7 September 1841, 3 December 1841;
death of Mary Hickinbotham (see D 779B/T 970) in 1842;
deeds of 25 August and 26 August 1842;
will of Thomas Hickinbotham 19 January 1843 (see D 779B/T 970);
death in 1843;
Cowlishaw's will 17 February 1843 (see D 779B/T 970);
deed of 25 November 1843;
that Ann Hickinbotham married but no settlement was made;
deed of 5 March 1845;
Cowlishaw's death 27 Feb. 1844;
that £900 is due to the Hardys and that Holden has agreed to buy Ann Harpur's half of the premises and the other half from the Hardys as devisees in trust of James Cowlishaw and that £900 should be paid to the Hardys out of the aggregate purchase money of £4,095 14s. and witnessing that for £260 paid by Holden to James Hardy by the direction of Joseph Hardy and with Ann Harpur's consent, for £1,787 17s. paid to the Hardys by Holden at Ann Harpur's request, for £640 paid to James Hardy by Holden at the direction of Joseph Hardy and Ann Harpur and for £1,407 17s paid to Ann Harpur by Holden (with details of how each sum was made up), Ann Harpur and the Hardys conveyed to Holden, Alderslade Close containing 3 acres 23p. of pasture, Top Hill Close 2 acres 2r 15p of arable, Crab Tree Close 4 acres 3r 6p of arable, Plaster Pit Close 2 acres 2r 13p of arable, Thorn Tree Close 2 acres 2r 24p of pasture, Marl Piece 2 acres 2r 37p of pasture and Town End Close 7 acres 3r 31p of old pasture, together 26 acres 1r 29p, in the tenure of William Neep of Carrington, co. Nottingham, farmer, under a lease of 1842, at rent of £85 1s. With marginal plan.
