TitleRelease of the portions charged by the Reverend Charles Holden on his settled estates in favour of his younger children, by 1. Sophia Elizabeth Rosamond Holden of Cheltenham, county Gloucester, spinster, William Legh Clowes of Park Hall, Egginton, esquire Antonia Henrietta his wife (formerly Holden), Teresa Amelia Holden of Cheltenham spinster, William Boates esquire lately a captain in 64th Regiment of Foot and since of Cheltenham, Emma Maria his wife (formerly Holden), Reverend James Richard Holden of Pleasley, clerk and Isabel Clara Holden of Pleasley spinster, all (except for William Legh Clowes and William Boates) the six surviving younger children of the Reverend Charles Holden, and which Isabel Clara Holden is the administratrix, with will annexed, of Rosamond Adelin Holden late of Tenby spinster deceased, the other of the Reverend Charles Holden's younger children, to 2. Edward Anthony Holden of Aston esquire, eldest son of the Reverend Charles Holden

Descriptionthat Charles Holden died in 1822 without having exercised his power of appointment as to the portions in the settlement directed to be raised for his younger children, and leaving 8 children surviving, who reached the age of 21, and the 7 younger of whom became entitled to £6,000 in equal shares;
that Rosamond Adelin died 28 Nov. 1829 giving, in her will of 9 Nov. 1829, her estate to her sister Isabel Clara, now her administratrix;
that the £6,000 and maintenance of the younger children was raised out of the surplus of the rents of lands comprised in the settlement, which accrued during the minority of E A Holden, without having recourse to the trusts of the 1,000 year term in the 1796 settlement, and it was shared equally among the 7 younger children;
that E A Holden has acquired inheritance in fee simple of the premises comprised in the 1796 settlement by means of 2 common recoveries and has applied to party 1. to discharge the premises from the portions and maintenance to which they were entitled under the settlement, and witnessing that 1. discharged E A Holden of the 1,000 year term, and lands comprised in 1796 settlement from sum of £6,000
