- '1st March 1709/ Peter Leigh Esq/ to ?Bowden Higginbotham/ Assignt of the residue of a 1000d yr/ term in sevl Estates in Mellor call the ?Bury/ and the Bullhill. In Trust for Mr Wm Wagstaff/ 1st March 1709/ 3'
- '20th June 1771/ Mr Wm Downes/ & Mr Wm Wagstaffe/ to/ Mr Wm Tomlinson/ Transfer of Mortgage/ 17.'
- 'the 24th ffebruary, 1770 /William Wagstaffe the/ older to /William ?Downes/ Mortgage of the ?Stones field /in Mellor for Serving £60/ lawful Int/ 16' contained
