Chesterfield Amateur Theatre Federation
Administrative History
The Chesterfield Amateur Theatre Federation was formed at a meeting on 1 December 1969, attended by representatives of seven amateur dramatic societies from the area. It aimed to allow for co-ordination between amateur theatre societies in Chesterfield district, and to promote activities which could not easily be undertaken by individual member societies. The group later changed its name to Chesterfield Amateur Drama Federation, and became affiliated to the National Drama Festivals Association.
