Title
Prints from glass negatives and slides
Date
20th cent
Description
These prints were made using a laser printer. The images contained in items D6980/1/1-92 were scanned by Derbyshire Record Office staff using contact prints which had been created by Severn Trent Water. These contacts had been drawn from a collection of glass negatives the company inherited from the Derwent Valley Water Board. Each of the listed items corresponds to one box of glass negatives (containing an average of ten pictures). The contact prints themselves are not formally part of this collection, but they have been retained and can be viewed on request. Images in D6980 were scanned directly from a collection of glass slides. Neither the slides nor the glass negatives have been retained, but electronic versions of all the images are stored on the CD Rom in this series (D6980/1/94).
