Description
Samples on card of knitting and sewing threads linked to number and occasionally price, arranged in categories: for colours in sewings and tambours exact and all other colours at lowest prices: fast colours: drab tie, imitation of merino: summer merino, green tie merino, green tie imitation merino and coloured knitting: colours in best, blue tie and green tie knitiings: winter merino and summer merino: imitation of merinos, coloured mendings: 3 and 4 threads of super, best, blue tie and green tie knittings: pink tie, red tie, blue tie and best tambour sewings: crochet thread; gross tape: cotton cord in bundles: white mendings 2nds and 3rd.
One sample of colur mending dated 14 May 1852. One loose card of coloured threads, dated on back as c1900.
Numbered 252 on front inside cover, later labelled O1/22 on front cover.
