Description	Very impressive view near the junction at Parsley Hay with the immaculate track ballast for the Buxton-Ashbourne single line branch heading south through the deep limestone cutting. Note the 40mph restriction round the curve on approach to the cutting. The under bridge is the first bridge No.1 on the Ashbourne extension which opened on 4th August 1899. Although the branch was built to double-track specification, it was only doubled between Buxton and Parsley Hay. This section opened on 1st June 1894. The 'J94' tank presumably 68013 is departing on CHPR metals from Parsley Hay with the SLS/MLS High Peak Rail Tour.
