Administrative History
Common lands in Draycott Manor, described as 'a member of the Manor of Soke and Sawley' were enclosed by Parliamentary Commissioners in 1764. No enclosure map is known to survive. In the early 1840s the townships of Draycott and Wilne were surveyed and valued for 'parochial purposes', probably Poor Rate.
