Administrative History | Town End, Chapel-en-le-Frith, was built by public subscription in 1874. The adjacent Methodist Day and Sunday School was built in 1853. The Day and Sunday Schools shared premises until 1968.
Town End was originally one of two Methodist churches in the main street. The Market Street church joined the Whaley Bridge Circuit in 1948 from the Peak and Bradwell Circuit. In 1966 it amalgamated with Town End to form the Chapel-en-le-Frith Methodist Church, and the Market Street premises closed. |
