Archive Creator	Ilkeston Bennerley School
Administrative History	Bennerley School was founded in 1892 as the Cotmanhay Road Infant School. The original school site later became the Cotmanhay and Ilkeston Adult Education Centre. Bennerley School became Bennerley Business and Enterprise College before an academy conversion agreement dated 31 August 2011 (see DCC/LG/CX/3665) brought it to a close. The college ceased to exist, being replaced by Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy.
Custodial History	This collection comprises a single accession, deposited in Derbyshire Record Office on 22 August 2003. Ownership passed to Derbyshire County Council when the school ceased to exist.
