| Administrative History | The Darley Abbey Society was formed in 1989 following opposition to a planned development of a block of flats in Brick Row. It aims to be an effective voice in maintaining and improving the environment in and around Darley Abbey. It does this through consideration of proposed building work and working with local authorities and businesses to provide leisure facilities, sympathetic development of open areas and the river for public access and awareness of local environmental issues. |
