Administrative History | Stonebroom Zion Primitive Methodist Church was established in 1867, the same date as Stonebroom Bethel United Free Methodist Church. In 1907 the United Free Methodists joined New Connexion Methodists and Bible Christians to form the United Methodist Church. 1932 the United Methodists joined the Primitive and Wesleyan Methodists to form the Methodist Church. In Stonebroom Zion (formerly Primitive) and Bethel (formerly United) continued as separate churches until 1969 when they joined to become Stonebroom Methodist Church using the former Zion church building. A new church was built in 1975. |
