Administrative History
R Granger & Sons Ltd was incorporated in 1927 to take over the business of the late Richard Granger whose leavers lacemaking business had sustained heavy losses in the depresssion in the lace trade in the period following World War I. R G Laces, later Grangers Lace Ltd., was a wholly-owned subsidiary. Members of the Granger family were always closely involved int he companies and also in Lace Production Ltd, later Lace Productions (1948) Ltd. The business was based at New Tythe Street Mills in Long Eaton. It ceased production in 2001.
