Title	A Sale of English Beauties in the East Indies
Date	[10 May 1811]
Description	A consignment of courtesans in unloaded in a foreign port. They are measured and examined by a mixture of men in turbans and Englishmen. Unsuitable candidates are shown in to a building on the right marked: 'WAREHOUSE FOR UNSALIABLE GOODS FROM EUROPE NB To be returned by the next ship'. On the left an auctioneer, holding his hammer, stands on a box. Available on CD 166.

This was an attack on the morals of the English in India, possibly connected to proceedings against Warren Hastings of the East India Company. The auctioneer is possibly intended to be Christie.
